Flatfields Flatfields
In October 2008, I began to work on a flatfield screen for the observatory of the University of Göttingen. The general setup is explained here. When you are very new to astronomy, you might read about what a flatfield is. Otherwise follow immediately the structure of this pages. The work is still ongoing, so expect changes in the content and in the results. Check the current state of the work.

As the flat field screen will be illuminated by LEDs, much work has been done to choose the most suitable LEDs. Read more about the LED results.

To control all the LEDs, electronical devices are necessary, driving the LEDs with an adjustable current. Read more about the electronics.
